Jen’s IAM RoadSmart journey

After attending an open day car show, I had the opportunity to speak with a representative from the North Staffs Advanced Drivers & Riders (NSADR). That conversation led me to book a Free taster drive — and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It also made me realise that my driving skills weren’t quite where I wanted them to be. I joined the course in July 2024 and went on to take my advanced test in April 2025, and achieved a F1rst. The experience not only improved my driving ability but also changed the way I view the road and my responsibilities as a driver. Wanting to give something back and support others on their own journey, I decided to work towards my National Observer qualification. I now look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with other drivers, helping them to develop safer, more confident driving skills.
